Aims & Objectives
-
To
secure, protect and safeguard, all rights, privileges
and facilities for Indians and persons of Indian origin
settled in the U.K., through peaceful and constitutional
means.
- To
promote, encourage and undertake all actions, plans and
programmes required for their general welfare-economic,
social and cultural.
- To
guide, help and assist members of the Indian community in
the U.K. to secure, protect and safeguard their economic
and political rights in various fields.
- To
project a correct image of India, Indian civilisation and
culture and to help members of the Indian community to understand
and assimilate British history, culture and civilisation.
- To
provide a suitable forum for the projection and presentation
of common problems and viewpoints of the Indian community
both to the Governments of U.K. and Indian through appropriate
means and channels.
- To
secure and establish appropriate contacts, relations and
alliances with political parties.
